2 Day First Aid at Work Requalification
This course can be delivered at your place of business or a venue of your choosing for groups of up to 12 delegates
Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at delegates who already hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and are coming towards the end of their three year period of validity. Everyone attending this course must provide a current First Aid at Work certificate as evidence of prior learning.
Where and When?
The course can be delivered at your venue on a date suitable to your needs. We could source a suitable venue on your behalf and also run several open courses at our own venues.
Assessment method
This qualification is assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning. There is no final exam
Successful candidates will receive a Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work certificate valid for 3 years. Under current guidelines it is recommended that all First Aid Training is refreshed and updated annually.
How long will it take?
2 Days (12 hours) of tutor led learning.
Topics covered
The role and responsibilities of a first aider.
Regulations
Managing First Aid incidents.
Primary and Secondary surveys.
Dealing with an unresponsive casualty who is/is not breathing normally.
Controlling major bleeding.
Heart Attacks
Burns, breaks and minor injuries
Head and Spinal injuries
Anaphylaxis.
First Aid Kits
Safe use of an AED

It is equally relevant to anyone who wants to increase their first aid knowledge.
